Q: What is corrective exercise?
A:It is the rebalance and realignment of the body, enabling it to perform at optimal levels.


Q: Who is corrective exercise for?
A: Anyone, corrective exercise is both functional and performance enhancing, if your objective is improvements in activities of daily living or increasing the amount of weight you can lift, then corrective exercise will ensure your body performs optimally.


Q: How long until I see some results from the exercises?
A: It depends on how bad your condition is and your adherence to the exercises, results can be fairly rapid if you follow the protocol.


Q: How long will the results last?
A: Corrective exercise requires you to form good habits in your life, if these good habits are adhered to then the results should be long term.

Q: Who is this suitable for?
A: Anybody who finds standing unaided difficult, BodyActif Therapists have run seated exercise classes at day centres and homes for the elderly.

A: No, just non restrictive, comfortable clothing.

Q: Is pilates like yoga?
A: No, traditional pilates is based on rehabilitation where as traditional yoga is based on the spiritual tranquillity of the body & mind.


Q: Do I need to be able to get down on the floor?
A: No, exercises can be adapted to your needs.


Q: Can anyone do pilates?
A: Yes, it is used by elite athletes and hospital patients alike.

Personal Training

Q: I have an injury to my back, can I still do personal training?
A:Yes, we will design a programme specifically for you to accommodate your needs and training requirements.


Q: I don't like going into the gym with everyone else
A: Personal training is carried out 1 to 1 so no one else is with you, it can be at our studio, your gym or home.


Q: Do I need any equipment?
A: no only suitable attire, you can of course include your own equipment into your personalised programme.
